DescriptionSteel. Long, flat spearhead of flattened hexagonal section, slotted along its axis. Balustered base with open work terminal. Downturned, pierced fluke, cusped below, opposite crescentic axehead, pierced on its face. Open socket extending down wooden staff as pair of langets, secured by nails. This section of staff velvet covered, held by brass tacks with tassel above & below. Staff of octagonal section with spike-like ferrule. Head decorated overall with incised foliation & geometric patterns.
