DescriptionVery long double-edge triangular blade of hollow-ground section to either side of strong full-length medial rib extending to reinforced point. Integral socket of octagonal section with pair of langets.

Original (?) wooden staff of octagonal section with iron butt cap, probably associated, & studded with brass nails at ends.
ProvenanceClarence H. Mackay collection (#J-124) purchased by the Museum on June 1, 1942 from Gimbel Brothers (NYC). Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
