DescriptionSteel. Long triangular hollow ground hexagonal-section blade with strong full-length medial rib on both faces with small pair of curved lugs at base of head. 10-sided conical socket having short langets nailed to circular section wooden staff. Lower quarter of head & socket with pointillé decoration depicting pairs of warriors & running strapwork.ProvenanceMetropolitan Museum of Art collection.
