DescriptionLacquered leather, with hair, silk & gilding. Half-face form, with detachable nose rising in tall cusp over bridge. Thick hair "mustache." Five-lame yodare-kake (gorget defense) working on multi-color silken lacing. Mempo proper lacquered red within, & gorget lames in gold. Exterior of all elements black-lacquered.
ProvenancePurchased by the Museum from Thomas Woroniecki (NYC), together with HAM# 2809-2814, on 9 May 1945, his number 5098. Armor is comprised of HAM#s 2808.1-12. Price paid for armor was $37.50. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
