DescriptionGutter-shaped, widening slightly to rounded elbow with very slight point at center. Wrist with narrow out-turned edge. Row of 12 small holes near wrist on 1 side. Decorated with etched border of oval cartouches & circles, all with stylized flowers. Center with 3 large pierced ogival cartouches joined by small diamond-shapes; the cartouches bear Arabic inscriptions incorporated into the openwork patterning. Each void has rounded triangular bassets joined at top center & pierced, with solid centers. All outlined in gold koft-gari. Nailed to interior center is thin sheet of copper that can be seen through the openwork tracery of the steel. Nail heads follow exterior design. Detached red lining sewn to white fabric printed with red design.
