DescriptionPhotograph from an album of 132 cyanotypes on cream wove paper.

This man, one of the workers on the Salisbury estate, appears in several of Coulson's photographs. The striking image, in which a book contrasts with working-class attire, suggests an educated individual. Man on the Sunday of Memorial Day weeken, the cyanotype evokes a relaxing day for the staff.
