DescriptionPhotograph from an album of 208 cyanotypes on cream wove paper. This photograph appears to have been made inside the gardener's cottage, where one of the Frederick Coulson's sisters, dressed in her Sunday best, is shown playing the piano. The closed music sheet of Louis Köhler's "Practical Method for Pianoforte" suggests that the young woman was posing for her borther.
