From the time they were young until their early twenties, Frederick Coulson's three sisters were often photographed in fashionable dress. Here, the frown on the woman's face and the awkward position of her hands suggests her impatience in posing for her brother. The assertive pose creates a captivating image of the interaction between siblings.
