DescriptionPhotograph from an album of 208 cyanotypes on cream wove paper.Coulson captures a memorable image of a policeman who grasps the bars of a window with one hand and holds a truncheon in the other. During the late nineteenth century, the Worcester polic force grew significantly in number to meet the city's rapid rise in population.
