DescriptionPhotograph from an album of 208 cyanotypes on cream wove paper. The Salisbury House had a commanding view overlooking Lincoln Square. This photograph shows the house from the Highland Street side. The gardener's cottage – where the Coulsons lived – stood to the left, farther west along the same street. The year after this photograph was made, the Worcester Art Museum moved its school into the Salisbury House, described by the Museum as "in the midst of extensive grounds, filled with trees, shrubs, ornamental vines, and the remains of an old-fashioned garden."
