Label TextDominis was a seasoned photojournalist and "Life" magazine photographer who attended Woodstock for its interest as a news story. His photographs reveal the absurd excesses of the festival and the challenges of nature. “I liked the music okay,” he later recalled, “but I really liked the kids, and what they were doing, and how they felt about it all. I just wanted to capture that.” One of Dominis’s best known images represents a group huddling under a sheet of cardboard in the rain, published in "Life" on August 29, 1969.On View
