DescriptionNearly identical to WAM 2014.867, but mainplate is more shallow, & there are only 2 subsidiary elements per side; that at top of chest deeply cut out for neck. Mail alternates riveted and solid links, fairly intact.
ProvenanceAlbert R. Louis (NY) purchased by John W. Higgins on February 22, 1927 from Walpole Galleries (NY), their no. 155. Given to the Museum on December 26, 1946. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
